You could've had one of those back in 1995!

Yes but that 1995 car has a rotary engine and two turbochargers!

Dunno the specs on the new 'Vette but here is what the 1995 car in the picture could do. Not bad for a 1300cc engine (that's the same size as a Hayabusa!)

1995 Mazda RX-7 Specs:

ENGINE:

Type 1.3 Liter Twin Turbocharged Rotary
Drivetrain Front Engine / RWD
Valvetrain 0
Cylinders 2
Cylinder Configuration In-line
Displacement 1,308 cc
Horsepower(HP) 255 @ 6500 RPM
Torque(FT-LBs.) 217 @ 5000 RPM
Redline 8000 RPM

PERFORMANCE

0-60 mph 5.2 s
0-100 mph 13 s
1/4 Mile 13.7 s @ 103 mph
Top Speed 155 mph
Gas Mileage 17 MPG City / 25 MPG Highway

OK, i'll say it now. I DO NOT like projector beam headlamps. On anything weather it be cars or motorcycles. They look like little glass hemmorhoids just sitting there  :( . Hopefully it looks better in person. The lower grill looks too retro, also.
Cheers, Lee S.
