My New Toy...
I bought a 57 Chevy Post car from Mike at Vintage... been working on her for a few weeks now.... still looking for some odds and ends... racing seats or some type of front seats.... new rear.... odds and ends, if you have anything let me know :-) Thanks...
Could also use a MSD so I dont have to deal with points heheheh It came with a 350 4 bold motor and 700r4 Trans, should be a nice toy :-)

Re: My New Toy...
64 barra for a 57 Chevy... iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii don't think so LOL
I am a Dodge Guy, but I'm so sick of everything costing 10x more for this mopar crap... I can build 3 of these for the price of one Charger LOL I open a Chevy book, call for a part, get it the next day for a fraction of the price that anyting cost for the Charger... Don't get me wrong, I loved my Charger, but i'm done with pretty and shiny for awhile...
and yes, racing seats.... This is not gonna be a restore, It's going to be a custom street rod....

Re: My New Toy...
Build that thing into a gasser. Tunnel ram, BBC, the works. It'll be your own full size "badman' model, 'cept it's not a '55.

Re: My New Toy...
I wonder if selling off that front end sheetmetal would pay for a glass tilt nose and some front axle stuff. Don't forget to fab up a plexi scoop too!

Re: My New Toy...
yes Greg... unfortunatly I was in a situation that it was the only way out, I was able to do what I needed to. However, like all things it finally started to turn around... so I was in a position to make an offer for the 57... always wanted a lead sled like this hehehe
Metal, when/If i put the gasser front on it, I may just do that. Something tells me the original metal will me worth more then the tilt heheheh

Sorry dude....but I'm glad things turned around for you. What does the 57 have in it for a motor or is it top secret?
