Im working on Zing the frame now, I inverted the front axel and dropped the front end 4 more inches or more, after Zing the frame, and giving it a East Coast rake, the cab should hav ethe clearence of the Charger, about 5 inches or so I chopped the roof 2 inches in the front and 2 1/2 in the back ... my first chop, im real happy with the way it turned out.

Re: Not sure i posted about my new project here.....
O.k. finally got the frame Z'ed.... everything is up and bolted, didn't weld it yet because I wanted to square it up and make sure it stayed square, so i figured i'll bolt, adjust, add more bolts, re enforce it, then weld in and leave in the bolts, better safe then sorry I've cut the V's to add to the right angles. and will be fish plateing the angles and boxing in the rest. I have all the original cross members and they will be going in, by the end of the weekend I should have it all done. Advice welcome ... the cab has been lowered a total of 6 inche's .... everything was mocked and is well above the scrub line so far

Looks good!
I gotta say the original frame looks to be in pretty good shape too - did it require much prep work or was this a southern car or something?

Most of it was in real nice shape. I actually have no idea where she came from, hoever the section that the front spring perches was on was shot. This is why I didn't feel so bad about cutting her down a bit I'm compleated a whole lot more this weekend, I'll post some more pictures tonight. Cab is almost ready to set up there again..... low and mean

Re: Not sure i posted about my new project here.....
Ill have a new camera this weekend if all goes right. so sorry about the cell phone pics
I recently aquired a 94 Chevy S-10 and have parted it out... sux too, nice runner... 4.3 v6 with a 5 speed, the rat will get the trans and the rear.. i wanted the thicker 2 2/3 inch leafs on it.
As per my bud Mike I set a cross section in and welded on the front leaf hangers. Still have more to weld but it's bolted also Rear is in place, still need to weld, trim, and set rear hangers in frame
I like the east coast ride height and am happy with the 110 inch wheelbase.
Still need to clean it up a but, add some braces and start the rear hangers. I got s-10 bushings, will take some 2x3, drill holes, press it in and then weld / bolt it to the existing frame and put a hole through it to mount the shackles half way down em.
