 My new toy
The truckstang was fun and all, but lacked the balls of a real truck. This is my new bitch.
Little about her, 2001 Chevy Silverado 3500 crew cab. Leather interior tan in color and Dark green exterior. She's packing a 8.1 liter (496 ci.) big block and an Allison 1000 series tranny. 4.10 rear gears and already set up to pull with a hide away 5th wheel ball and a headache rack.
Let the mods begin.

 Re: My new toy
mod perfection? how can you mod a perfect truck? lol dude thats alot of nut for a truck man i always wanted an 8.1 but i had the 6 liter insted..in my 2500hd...the only thing that woulda kept me from tradeing that in for my mustang was if it had a stick then i never woulda traded it in LOL insert edit here
btw that truck would be so much hotter if it was a stick and a regular cab full box.. hell even a short box would be nice...with that motor though mm damm ok im done drooling

Thanks guys, I'm going to tint the windows first. After that, a nice set of flowmasters, a cold air intake, and then reprogramming the puter should get me the desired effects. Gonna go with the 70 series flowmasters for a little queiter but free flowing exhaust. Was going to tint the windows next weekend, but my bike plastics will be back from paint at the end of the week and I just gots to baby her a little.

go with a set of slp loudmouth 2 pipes...if you keep yer cats you will be plesently surprised they would give that beast a nice mean low rumble when on throttle but kicks out after 2500rpm their deep and not to loud but give it more depth and sound they make my stang sound mean i can twait to hear it with the catless x pipe and headers lol...flowmasters rock too though so its all good so yo what other mods are you planning for this hulk of a truck

Yea, I'm gonna tow a little John Deere 310 4x4 backhoe on a 5th wheel trailer for my upcoming career change. My father in law owns a home construction company and I've gone in partners with him.
Oh, and another thing I might tow is the bird, if it breaks down

I dont want to shit on tns thread, but really, please inform me how that truck is in anyway shape or form like a honda? is it the 8.1 in it? is it the rims from a Peterbuilt? Is it the 6 wheels? You lost me on this one.

I think his point was.... why buy a truck when you're bascially going to make it a car.
I think it looks pretty sharp, but not my thing either. Why do it? Because some people just like to be different.... because you can.... because it hasn't been done before (well, it has been now, but you know what I mean). That's why people do it. Because they want their truck/car/bike/boat/whatever to be different.
