I think he's got the hobby already!!

Here's the irony: He wants a Ferrari but cannot afford one. So he builds an exact scale replica, including casting all of the parts by hand.

How much harder could it be to build a full-size replica of the car than a large-scale replica? :?

Probably not that hard... but quite a bit more expensive, I'm sure.

... and I was being sarcastic about the hobby. Maybe he can share some of his patience with me. I would have scrapped that project after the third or fourth line on the first drawing. "ooooo shiny object... I wonder what's for dinner, I need a new TV....".
