Post Gone over to the dark side...
Trevor, you'll be proud...

Just picked this up today. 2005 Legacy GT limited. 2.5 turbo. As much as I loved the old Dakota, it was time to move on.

When I get the chance I'll post up some pictures of mine instead of what I found on google.

That is a nice little car. Can you get used to the fact that it always feels like it's misfiring... or is all that gone in the new Subi's?

Didn't notice that at all. The thing that I'm going to have to get used to is a little turbo lag. It's a little disconcerting when the throttle position doesn't change but the power increases quite a bit after passing 2500 rpm.

And I'm not going to complain about 28 to 35 mpg either. Especially in a 250hp car.

Ummm...can you say... rocket? I was surprised, too. Never expected that kind of power out of a four-door Subaru. I've always been a Nissan/Toyota fan. I'm afraid my opinion may be swaying towards these things a bit. That thing was SWEET to drive. Cornering was awesome! And...he's right...you hit about 2500 RPM and that thing takes off! Just wait till he takes a nice corner with my teenager in the car...

Leather seats, moonroof, shift buttons on the steering wheel, 6-disk CD changer, immaculately clean...and it'll take long trips comfortably. :D

Nice choice!

I figured the Dakota was probably getting a little long in the tooth by now anyway. Not that you would want to pipe it (not really appropriate in a Legacy) but I do know what Travis is saying about the unique Subaru engine sound. They kinda remind me of a V-Twin bike motor from far away.

Is dark tint legal in Tennessee? That car would look very sharp with the windows blacked out.

It is. And it's in the cards once a few other things are out of the way.
