GM has lost it IMHO. The only way to buy into their current performance offerings is to spend big bucks on one of their "theme" vehicles like the GTO or that fake old truck.
In a manner of speaking GM has become the Orange County Choppers of the big automakers.
In my experience, most Corvettes appear to be owned by old men (the only ones who can really afford 'em).. ..I think the rest of their performance line will likely follow suit in the near future.

This car should be called the GTO. Actually it should be called the Road Runner, since that was Mopar's cheap car + powerful engine answer to the 'goat. But even Daimler had enough respect for the old days to leave the name of their muscle car in the past.
